start chasing your dreams
instead of chasing your tail!

without burning out along the way, beating yourself up, adding to the overwhelm, dying of boredom or running for the hills when your inner dreamshitter shows up.

Productivity Guru David Allen writes “your mind is for having ideas, not holding them.

I say that our lives are for doing our projects, not just thinking about them.

And there is nothing quite like getting stuck into something and watching something that existed only in your head exist in the actual real world;

And getting lost in the flow, experiencing the satisfying relief of something clicking into place, and the sheer excitement of working on something you love and actually feeling capable.

But it’s all too easy to:

  • Get lost in the planning stage, get overwhelmed and run out of steam.

  • Figure out where to even begin. (And when you do begin, it’s so hard to keep the momentum going and make real progress: hello fear, real life and all the shiny ideas).

  • Turn over the page to a new week - on that planner you swore would fix everything - and you’re getting fucked off watching the weeks go by with little movement.

And before you know it:

  • Your idea has gone from fun and exciting to overwhelming and frustrating and it’s tempting to just chase a shiny new side quest.

  • Your inner dreamshitter is well and truly running the show.

  • You’ve talked yourself out of yet another brilliant idea.

  • And your confidence takes yet another hit.

To put it mildly,

it’s time to get your ideas off the someday pile, out of your 9 notebooks and and into the world.

(said with love from someone who’s idea of a perfect Saturday is going to a coffee shop with a notebook, dreaming and scheming with all the coloured pens and stickers!)

a 4 month coaching program for creative and multi-passionate women who are ready to take action, take on their projects in a sustainable way, and get projects and dreams off the someday pile, (without treating themselves like shit.

Make Shit Happen is intentionally designed to help you work out what you actually want to do, actually follow through, and have a safe place to explore, experiment, and make significant progress.

introducing Make Shit Happen

“Before working with Meg I was stuck on how my passions and goals could come together as a cohesive whole, and also how I could monetise things beyond tech. I felt like the disparate parts of myself had to remain separate. I now feel like I have a plan and a direction, and it can encompass all the different parts of me. The thing I found the most helpful was the diagram Meg drew showing how things I care about overlap and intersect. Meg helped me look at my career and what i thought were "extra-curriculars" in a very different way. I liked that Meg obviously thought quite a lot about what points she wanted to cover before you asked questions, as well as exploring and changing course as things came up. I feel so much more excited and positive about the future, and I have a plan.”‍ ‍Olu Niyi-Awosusi

Ultimately, Make Shit Happen is about having a plan to trust yourself, show up for yourself and your ideas in a joyful way. And putting in the work in a sustainable way to make it actually happen.

  • Instead of making a plan so complicated that you never take action and end up more confused than you started…
you have a plan that has built in markers, gives you a clear focus, room to experiment and be flexible.

  • Instead of getting lost in endless tweaking, improving and having a shitload of half-finished projects haunting you…
you actually embrace imperfect action, you finish things and you have the satisfaction of a job well done!

  • Instead of giving up on ideas easily and readily jumping to the next shiny idea when the novelty has worn off, before you’ve followed it through…
you have structure and support to commit to your projects, trust your intuition, and work in a way that actually works for your brain.

  • Instead of starting strong, running out of steam and…
you work in a way allows for real life to happen and feels do-able so you can have breaks along the way and actually pace yourself, while still getting the work done.

  • Instead of overthinking things, getting in your own way and talking yourself out of it when the fear shows up…
you have a safe space to explore and experiment, talk things through, and get a much-needed pep talk and emergency plan when your inner dreamshitter shows up.

And instead of having to do things all on your own and be the sole person keeping you on track, you have a partner in crime who’s there to celebrate the wins, figure out the wobbles and keep you lovingly but firmly accountable.

Hi! I’m Meg, and I’m a coach and mentor and I’ve spent the past decade, supporting creative and multi-passionate women to get shit done, get it done with delight and get their ideas off the someday pile.

I’m an absolute nerd when it comes to figuring out how we can get our projects done as multi-passionates, who resist and rebel against structure! My approach is born out of a very real need to find an alternative way to getting shit done without treating yourself like shit (I learned it the hard way!)

For those of us with creative, curious and often neuro-spicy brains, so much happens when we work with our brains, rather than rigid productivity systems that were never designed for us. And not only only does it work, it’s more fucking fun, and it turns out joy, ease and compassion work MUCH better than guilt, shame and hustling (who’d have thought?!)

Make Shit Happen is about embracing imperfect action rather than perfect inaction, learning to get shit done in a way that works uniquely for YOU, rather than against yourself and creating easy and fun systems that help you prioritise and focus AND (really importantly) acknowledge what you have done.

I’ve learned how to work with my brain rather than against it, and after 1,600+ daily podcast episodes, hundreds of coaching sessions and 12 years of self-employment, I’m proof that you can create consistently, even with a chaotic ADHD brain.

Meg is a fantastic coach who truly focuses on the whole person in her work. She is skilled at organization/planning/accountability and will help you get your project off the ground (if that is what you need). She also may surprise you in being able to guide you to a different path (that you've had inside all along and just haven't been able to see) or a new way of thinking about your life. Meg is someone who can meet you exactly where you are, and help you find the best way to move forward.”

How exactly does it work?

Make Shit Happen is a 4 month coaching program intentionally designed to take you from a dream that exists in your head, into a tangible thing that exists in the world.

First we get really clear on…

We start by (STAGE ONE) working together to really flesh out and develop your idea, create a realistic and sustainable plan 100 day plan and then (STAGE 2) work together for that 100 day period to make shit happen!

We start by working together to really flesh out and develop your idea, create a realistic and sustainable plan 100 day plan

and then (STAGE 2) work together for that 100 day period to make shit happen!

Why 100 days?

Because it’s long enough to make significant progress, but short enough that we don’t get stuck in the weeds of perfectionism! I’ve been working with clients in 100 day stints for over five years now, and I am constantly floored by the results. 100 days feels like a magical amount of time because It’s enough time to make serious progress because it’s a short enough time period to get shit done, but it doesn’t feel like forever (hello, freedom!)

STAGE ONE: the planning stage

Before our first session:

90 MINS

Session 1

Session 2:

questionnaire

90 MINS

We start our first session together by really diving into your idea, developing it so that it is rooted in your values and what you actually want to do (versus what you think you should do). You’ll leave with some concrete actions for our next session!

In the second session, we examine the different ways you could bring your idea into the world and we start to get really practical. In this session, we create a flexible plan for our 100 days of action together. We make sure it’s grounded in bring your idea into the world in a way that energises you, rather than overwhelms you! We get really intentional about where you want to be at the end of the 100 days and we get to work and our 100 days officially begins!

STAGE TWO: the implementation stage

Sessions 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,8

60 MINS EACH

Final session:

90 MINS

We tweak and pivot as we go, we celebrate the wins and we, accountability, review progress, get untangled, check in with your progress, set intentions for next time, review progress and celebrate wins!

We meet every 2 weeks during the 100 days to keep you focused, taking action, acknowledge the wins and get unstuck as we go.

Review and celebrate progress and chat about next steps. And if you decide you’d like to keep working together, there’s an opportunity to continue with my Keep Shit Rolling package, or we can dream up something else that meets your needs.

But it’s also about so much more than our 4 months together…

💡 You’ll learn more about how you work, have a flexible structure to work with that you can use for years to come (and tweak when you need to)

⚡️ You’ll feel capable and accomplished! You’ll prove to yourself you can actually stick to things and see things through even when it feels scary. (And this serves as evidence that you’ll always have to look back on when you think you can’t do it)

💖 You’ll embrace a much more compassionate approach to productivity, where you actually recognise your wins, take breaks along the way and make significant progress in a way that actually feels good (I find this is one of the main things my clients come away saying)

🤩 You’ll feel energised about your projects and delighted about them rather than feeling behind and scattered, and this does a HUGE amount for your confidence

🗺️ A path forward with clear markers so you know where to continue, you have a direction to go in, so you can build on the progress we make together on your own!

✨ (And if you do want to continue past the three months together, there’s the option to continue the magic together with my monthly coaching container Keep Shit Rolling, but there is absolutely no pressure, (LINK)

What clients have said about our work together

“Meg listens, gets to know and identify passions and skills. She provide loads of inspiration and creative approaches to being a solo creative. She provide a wealth of resources (I'm still working through them and using them now!), as well as supportive structure, through roadmaps, accountability and her 100 day approach which really helps as a way of seeing and celebrating progress. I really benefited from knowing there was someone who would be supportive and encouraging, and that I was accountable my progress.

Meg is warm, encouraging, friendly, open and un-intimidating - she is so down to earth which meant the sessions felt like talking to a friend, so I felt I could be honest, and the suggestions and outcomes felt grounded and achievable. The only hesitation was spending the money on something with no guaranteed outcome, but it was well worth it.”

HANNAH JONES

“In our sessions, we both worked hard and, crucially, together and, every time, that hard work led to invaluable insights that I go back to on a daily basis. Meg’s greatest skill are her empathy, creative thinking and adaptability. She listens with great care and adapts according to my needs, even if it means contradicting a previous thought/idea. That, to me, is crucial for a coach. And she’s honest about your own experience and abilities, which means that our relationship feels equal. I now feel more Wholly Caroline outside of my writing, which is a relief. I also have anchors in place to help me be kind and more nurturing to myself.”

CAROLINE JESTAZ

Before working together I was overwhelmed, unorganized, unmotivated, and felt like I needed a “boost” to get going. With Meg’s help, I gathered up enough confidence to submit to a publication, and I got published!!!! I now say to myself “what would Meg say” when I start to let my inner dreamshitter take over. I only have to refer to a quick Daily Pep or look back at my coaching notes to squish the negativity and get going.”

JULIE JAYNE

The world is already missing too many fabulous ideas from brilliant women who talked themselves out of it, listened to the voice of their inner dreamshitter (and the patriarchy).

And quite frankly, your weirdness, your wonderful-ness, the things you create from the mixture of your stories and experiences and curiosities? In a world of robots and dictators - fuck - we need them more than ever.

And here’s the thing:

You have the notebooks filled with brilliant ideas.

You can bring them to life

And it is VERY possible to get focused, take on your projects in a sustainable way, and have flexible (and joyful!) accountability and support and really, actually, make shit happen

It’s time to get out of your own way, find a way of making your ideas happen in a way that makes sense to YOU, honours YOU and your unique brain, and is actually realistic and sustainable.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What if we’re in different timezones?

I work with women all over the world :) I’m based in the UK and many of my coaching clients are spread across Europe, North America and Australia.

None of the dates available work for me.

Let me know what does work for you and we’ll work something out! Email me: support [at] therebelrousers.com

How does the payment plan work?

How does it work if I’m I have a different currency?

How many things can I bring to a session?

The session will work best if you bring one or a maximum of two specific things. After you book your session, I’ll send you a pre-session questionnaire. This gives me more context, space for you to share what’s going on with you, and a framework to prioritise what you’d like to work on. There’s space in that questionnaire to put in bonus things you’d love to talk about if we can :)

I’d like to do this in the future but right now I just need help getting unstuck.

I’m really flexible in my way of working with people. Some clients find it helpful to book a call to help plan each quarter, others book as and when they need it. If you already know you’re looking for ongoing support, book a free 30 minute chat and we can design something that works for you!

What kind of topics are not a good fit?

The sky really is the limit! Though I should point out the obvious - I’m not I am not a mental health or healthcare professional, my services are not medical or mental health advice and I cannot give legal or financial advice!

I’m an introvert and I’m a bit nervous.

Then you’re in good hands! Many of my clients are introverts and I do everything I can to make you feel as comfortable as possible :)

I have another question!

No problem! My email is support [at] therebelrousers.com - ask away!
