Doing your own thing can be exciting and also really fucking hard.

And that’s whether you’re a maker, a writer, a small business owner, coach or a fabulous combination of many different things.

It can be really hard when the people around you don’t get what you’re doing, understand your dreams or have no idea why you make the decisions you do.

It’s really fucking vulnerable and scary putting ourselves out there. And when you add marketing and networking to the mix - arghh! (And if you’re an introvert like a lot of us around here, well, that’s a whole other ball game!)

There have been so many times in my own journey where I’ve wondered if I’m completely delusional and if I should just do what’s expected of me and go and get a “Proper Job”.

Because, can we just be honest? It can be really lonely.

There are so many fabulously unconventional and value-led women out there, doing their own thing. I’ve come across and made good friends with the most brilliant, unconventional and simply fabulous women who are doing their own thing too. And the above list? It’s a shared experience, not a one-off.

Huge things happen when you find people who are also blazing their own trail and have that magical mix of support, community, strategy and resources

Some of the most transformational things can come in the smallest packages!

So it’s with a very happy heart, that I introduce to you:

a low-cost (£12 a month!) monthly community for women doing their own thing who want community, support, and to cut through the bullshit.

It’s for women doing their own thing, starting their own thing, or aiming to do their own thing, to find:

💃 A way to gather and connect with like-minded women doing their own thing

🙌 A way to promote and support rebel business owners and build a rebel economy!

💡 A way to sift through the bullshit, and find resources from people who are shit hot at what they do AND ethical as fuck.

🔥 And a way to be supported and grow that doesn’t cost the moon

And it’s exactly what I wish existed when I first started!

so, what exactly is it + how does it work?

Rebel Creators is a monthly membership full of practical support and community for for women doing their own *thing.

*Think: makers, business owners, artists, coaches, writers, consultants, social media managers, workshop facilitators or pretty much anything else you can think of!)

And by doing your own thing, that means whether you’re just starting out, have been doing your own things for a while, doing your own thing as a side hustle, or anywhere in between!

who’s behind rebel creators?

hi, I’m Meg!

📷 credit: Rachel Burt

I’m a coach, podcaster and professional rebel-rouser and I help women get of their own way, get shit done an make the world a brighter place.

One of my superpowers is putting brilliant women in the same room together, figuring out how to do things differently and effectively, and making shit happen!

I started Rebel Creators because there aren’t many, if any spaces online for unconventional women doing their own thing to gather, be supported and uplifted, that doesn’t compromise our values and doesn’t cost the moon!

It's exactly what I most wanted when I was starting out doing my own thing back in 2014, and wish existed in the world today.

Here’s what rebel creators have to say about being a member!

I love being a Rebel Creator. I've picked up so much useful stuff and it's helped me reflect on how to go about getting to where I want to be. It's made me feel valued and like I definitely have something to give, which has been a huge boost to my confidence which was the thing I didn't know I was missing. I love the way Meg doesn’t just offer your own support but facilitate those in the group to support each other as well. If you think it might be a good fit for you, even just a little bit, give it a go. It's done more for me than I thought possible.

Rebel Creators is a group of international folks who want to be in community around their creativity and business and learn from each other. Since we are all in different places, the experiences are great to learn from. Our fabulous leader is also a great source of fun and information! I always leave calls feeling energized, and for anyone thinking of joining - try it! You have nothing to lose by showing up to a call, checking out the resources and seeing if your energy lines up with the group.

The Q and A's are absolutely priceless. I sincerely get so much from them, and it's so clear how much work and effort Meg does to not only give an amazing, comprehensive answer but also deal with the practical as well as the "emotional" side of things. Meg is never prescriptive, gives different food for thought and potential leads to investigate. Her manner is really like a warm hug from someone who genuinely cares, doesn't think any issue/concern is not real or significant and wants to do her utmost to support. The resource directory is absolutely wonderful and complete gem (thank you!).

I'd really recommend it for anyone who is seeking guidance, feeling that they are not alone in pursuing their dreams, doing something new and embracing being different. I think for what you get, it's a no-brainer. I think it's amazing value, Q&As alone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to sign up for a certain amount of months?

Nope! There’s no minimum monthly commitment, and you can cancel anytime :) You’ll only have access to the private member’s podcast while you’re a member.

How does the private podcast work?

For each month’s Q&As, I record the answers and share the audio and a transcript in the Q&A section of your hub. To make them even more helpful, I’ve created a private podcast feed exclusive to Rebel Creators which houses all of the past and current Q&As. There are 50+ episodes so far, and they’re worth the price of the membership alone!

When are the monthly calls?

Calls tend to be in the middle of the month on a Saturday at 6.30pm, UK time. We also have a Rebel Social call on the first Sunday of every month to meet with and hang out with likeminded women! (They alternate between 4pm and 7pm, UK time)

I don’t think I’m ‘creative’.

You don’t need to be an artist or a writer to join, although you’ll certainly find lots of them around! When I say creative, what I really mean is a creative approach to doing your own thing!

What do I get access to when I sign up?

Upon signing up you’ll get immediate access to the Rebel Creator Hub! From there you can explore the Q&As, watch replays of previous Rebel Creator calls, check out the curated library of resources as well as check out the directory and sign up yourself!

Do I get access to previous Q&As or just from when I join?

They’re all inside, waiting and ready for you! There are 50+ currently and will be updated as we go :)

How do the calls work, and what happens if I can’t make one of the calls?

The calls vary between themed discussions on a particular area of doing your own thing, and meeting and connecting with other likeminded people! Breakout rooms can’t be recorded, but the themed groups discussions are available to watch in your hub shortly after they happen!

What is the Rebel Social?

The Rebel Social is a monthly social and a private community for all the fabulous women I’ve had the joy to work with! On the first Sunday of the month we get together on Zoom and get to know each other and generally hang out! We share what we’re working on, have a good chat and it’s a great way of making new friends. We also have a private facebook group where we share wins, what you’re working on, and it’s a great place to get to know other rebels and explore new ideas. Don’t worry if you’re not on Facebook (trust me, I get it!), you'll still receive email invites to the social each month, so you won't miss out!

Okay, I’m in, how do I sign up?!

If you have any other questions or wondering if you’re a good fit, send me an email: meg [at] therebelrousers.com and I’ll be more than happy to help!

PS. BONUS SURPRISE!

Along with Rebel Creators, you also get lifelong access to The Rebel Social, a place to continue to connect, find your people and make new friends with a group of brilliant women!

The Rebel Social is a monthly hangout on Zoom and a Facebook group for all the fabulous women I’ve worked with and a place to really find your people, share your wins and get feedback from a group of like-minded and like-valued women who really just get it!
