Wednesday 8th January 2025 6.30pm-8.30pm, UK time, Zoom

There'll be a replay if you can’t make it live!

Sick of the New Year New You bullshit? Me too!

I love the energy of the new year, but I hate the marketing of it.

I hate this myth that overnight we’re suddenly going to become this New Improved version of ourself. We know it’s bollocks, but it can be so alluring, and we can easily end up forgetting that we’re pretty damn fabulous the way we are!

What I DO like about the New Year though, is that it’s a great time to reflect and think about our priorities in life.

It’s a great time to get a good bird’s eye view on the direction we’re heading, and like Dolly Parton said,

“We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails”

About 7 years ago, I came across the concept of having a Word of the Year. I’m not sure who came up with it, but the idea is that instead of having a set of resolutions - which we’ll just use to beat ourselves up about from 15th January onwards -  we have a guiding word to come back to for the whole year.

Having a word of the year is so much more powerful, effective + MAGICAL than having a list of arbitrary goals.

Instead of having a detailed (and unrealistic) map, we have a compass we can turn to no matter how rough the seas get or how far we drift away from the shore.

On Wednesday January 8th, 2025, I’m excited to be running my annual Word of the Year Workshop!

Together with a group of like-minded rebel rousers, we’re going to go through a series of exercises to pick our word of the year, and build a bit of a plan for the year around it.

We’re gonna get really intentional about what matters to us, look at how we can use our word in different areas of our life, and go into 2025 with a compassionate framework that is totally YOU.

You’ll leave feeling grounded, with a sustainable and intentional way to approach 2025 and practical ways to really come back to what’s important to YOU when the sea gets choppy and you can’t see the shore.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll feel inspired, ready to take on 2025 in a compassionate way, and like you have got your own back.

 How does it work?

🙌 On Wednesday 8th January, 6.30pm-8.30pm (UK time), we’ll gather on Zoom with big mugs of something nice and explore what it means to have a word of the year, and choose our word and intentions for 2025.

📝 I’ll lead you through a series of exercises and guide you through:

- choosing your word of the year

- practical ways to keep it front and centre

- a process to check-in with your word during the year.

And we’ll do it all leaning heavily into a compass analogy!

💖 And if this sounds great, but scary?

You’ll be invited to share as you go with a group of like-minded women BUT, you’re invited to share as much or as little as you like and you can keep your camera off the whole time if you like. I talk about how we all have superpowers quite a lot, and one of mine is creating safe and warm spaces that people feel really open to be themselves and vulnerable in, even if they haven’t met each other before.

what past workshop attendees have said about previous workshops:

I went into this workshop feeling very anxious, like I had a never ending to do list and feeling really low about how much I hadn’t achieved this year. I came out of this workshop feeling confident, happy and energised; realising that I have in fact achieved a hell of a lot this year and excited to start my projects.

In just two hours Meg managed to completely shift my perspective from one of self depreciation to self compassion, which I am truly grateful for. Meg created such a warm and comfortable environment, where I got to learn so much about myself as well as connecting with some amazing people.

This workshop was full to the brim of encouragement, kindness and self compassion. I never expected to get so much out of one workshop. Meg radiates positivity but in such an honest, humorous and considerate way. I will definitely be booking onto the next one. A massive heartfelt thank you.

I loved the workshop! It was really valuable to make some space for that reflection. Your metaphor worked really well and is easy to really take on board- I've even been taking it further for myself e.g. 'what crops are you sharing, what crops are you storing'.

It was so helpful to acknowledge some of the things you don't usually think so much about, such as tools.

I think the most important thing was that you made us feel seen. Zoom meetings always run the risk of being quite anonymous, where you're muted on entry and listen for the duration for the session, and it was so nice to feel like it really was an online get-together rather than a seminar. I love how you used people's names (it makes such a difference!), gave us loads of opportunities to use the chat function or unmute ourselves, introduce ourselves in the beginning, and I love that we have further opportunities to connect afterwards.

This workshop is for you if:

  • You want to find a way of planning for next year that feels good, is sustainable and caters for unexpected surprises.

  • You hate the traditional New Year New You bullshit but you still want to make the most out of 2025 and have a really meaningful year.

  • You want to greet the the New Year with a group of likeminded women who get what it is to do things differently, and you love the idea of spending an evening in wonderful company!

  • Integrity and authenticity are really important to you, and you're trying to build a life that aligns with your values

Together we’re gonna make meaningful intentions for 2025 that align with your values and give you a compassionate and flexible structure rather than a list of unrealistic goals that you’ll beat yourself up about later.

So, what do you say?

ready to do things a bit differently in 2025?

PS. BONUS SURPRISE!
