Episode transcript:

Good morning, Daily Peppers, and a very happy Tuesday to you. You're listening to the Daily Pep and if you need your daily dose of encouragement, rebel rousing and just motivation to keep going and keep showing up. Well, you have definitely come to the right place. Now. Yesterday on the Daily Pet, we were talking all about how you are making progress, even if you don't feel like it, because often you're not the best person to judge your progress because you're so just in it yourself. And today I want to dive into something that is absolutely paramount to making progress and that's showing up. Now, we've talked about showing up here on the Daily Pep before because it is such an important thing and it can be so hard to show up. It's one thing showing up for other people and commitments you've made to different things that are outside of yourself, but it's another thing entirely showing up for yourself and being accountable for yourself.

And one of the things about showing up is that you show up regardless of how you're feeling. And there's a huge amount of uncertainty in that. Like, there is a creative process. You don't know whether you're going to be disappointed. You might show up and risk finding something out about yourself that you're not particularly thrilled about. And there's definitely that uncertainty aspect of it, which I know, for me, I'm not a huge fan of. But the flip side is that when it comes to showing up, it is about possibility. Yes, you might be disappointed, but equally, you might be really pleasantly surprised.

And I think there's so much more to showing up than just focusing on what you get out of it or your output. And that's the message you send to yourself when you do show up. One of the things I talk about a lot is how everything changes when you believe you matter. And showing up for yourself is a massive way that you can show yourself that you matter, that you recognise that your ideas and your words and your voice, they're important. And ultimately it's a deep sign of respect for yourself. So keep showing up as you are right now, today. Keep showing up despite the uncertainty, keep showing up regardless of the outcome, and show up for you, because everything really does change when you believe you matter. And this is a great way of starting that journey. Have a fabulous Tuesday and I can't wait to see you back here bright and early tomorrow morning. See you then.
