Episode transcript:
Good morning, Daily Peppers, and a very happy Tuesday to you. I hope you have enjoyed the long weekend, and if today you are struggling or you just can't be fucked, this one is for you. For today's Daily Pep, I really want to dedicate it to all of us around here who are a one-woman band, who do a shitload of stuff that nobody sees and really recognizes, who have a lot on our plates and we balance a load of stuff, who show up in the world with empathy and compassion regardless of what's going on because that's just who we are. And who battle through things that maybe nobody else sees, but we do it anyway and we keep going. Here's the thing, we are so fucking hard on ourselves around here. We always look at the things that we haven't got done, yet so often we don't even tend to see just how much is on our plate because we tend to minimize it and because we tend to just think that it's normal. We have a shitload of projects that we want to do, and because we don't always get around to them, it's so easy to create a parallel universe where we're this lazy version of ourselves. And I just want to tell you that you are not, and you are doing so much better than you think.
It's like that whole saying about a duck— on the surface they seem really calm, but they are paddling like hell underneath. And I see that, and I know how much effort and resilience that takes, and also how much time you have for other people while you're doing it. So today I just want to say cheers to you. Cheers to all of us one woman bandies who might struggle to get shit up, but we show up anyway. And even though the plates might smash sometimes, we generally keep all the plates spinning. We do so much invisible work that nobody else sees, and although we might not always toot our own horns, here's to the shitload of things that we do do, whether we celebrate them or not. So here's to you, my fellow one woman bander, and if you fancy getting shit done and spinning plates with a whole group of women who really just get it, who get what it means to be doing your own thing differently who may be feeling a bit lonely along the journey and want to really make some serious progress in a 100-day chunk with me as your coach, then I'm delighted to announce that One Woman Band Club, my fabulous group coaching program, is open for registration. If you've been around here before, you may know a bit about One Woman Band and know that I usually do two groups.
Well, this time I'm doing one group, so spaces are limited. So if you are intrigued, definitely head over to therebelrousers.com/onewomanband, and on that page you can sign up for a free 30-minute discovery call where it's just me and you and we have a really casual chat about whether it might be a good fit for you. No obligation, no pressure, just basically a nice catch-up over a cup of tea. So you can check that out by going to the link in the show notes. And I just wanna end by saying, however you're feeling today, whatever you do or don't get done, remember that you are enough and everything changes when you believe you matter. See you tomorrow.
