If you wish you had more time to be creative or you're beating yourself up about a creative project, this one's for you!
Episode transcript:
Good morning, daily peppers, and a very happy Wednesday to you. It is hump day, and we are nearly halfway through the week. At the moment, I'm partway through launching my new thing, which is the rebel artist's way. And naturally, it's got me thinking a lot about creativity. Now for most of us around here, we identify as creative. And if we don't, then chances are we probably would like to. But I think one thing is nearly a % true. And that is that we all wish we had more time to be creative or explore our creativity in the first place. So today, I simply wanna remind you that you already are creative. It takes a shitload of creativity to get through each day to navigate the good and the hard times and also just to be alive in this world. It might not look like you're getting your paints out or writing but figuring out how you're gonna pay the rent next month, navigating a difficult conversation, or even just figuring out what to make for dinner, it's all using that creativity muscle. For so many of us, there can be massive amounts of resistance to sitting down to do something creative because it's been so long, and we wonder whether we still got it or if we had it to begin with. And I hope this reframe is a bit of reassurance for you today. Creativity comes in so many different forms. And the bit that I'm really passionate about is creating a life you love because it really does take so much creativity to figure out what you want, to figure out how to get there, and to figure out how to keep going along the way. So you may not feel like the world's most creative person, but you don't need to be because you're doing it anyway whether you know it or not. So if you have complicated feelings about how much you haven't been creating lately, if the resistance is truly there, and if you've beaten yourself up about it because that is what a lot of us tend to do around here, I just invite you to think about it a bit differently. Often, what we typically tend to see as creative is one of the first things that tends to go when we're in survival mode. But I would argue that, actually, surviving survival mode can be the absolute epitome of creativity. So that is something for you to noodle on today. If you really wanna discover and recover your creative self, a quick heads up that the early bird offer for the rebel artist way ends tomorrow. And the promo code is in the show notes. And it is gonna be an absolute game changer if one of the things you wanna focus on this year is working on yourself and working on your creativity, getting unblocked, and creating a life you love. And you can find out more and get all the details by going to the rebelrousers.com/rebelartistsway. Have a good one. I'll see you tomorrow. And keep creating, even if you know you are or not.
