Episode transcript:

Good morning, Daily Peppers, and a very happy Tuesday to you. So here on the Daily Pep, it's all about doing the thing, it's all about getting shit done, it's all about creating a life you love, and it's about doing it with a shitload of compassion. And sometimes that looks like like admitting that not every day is gonna be the best day. Around here, we are doers. We like to optimize stuff. We are often time optimists, and we try and make the best out of everything.

And today, I just wanted to pop in and give you permission to not always optimize stuff because you get to have off days. We all have off days.

We also get to have meh days and days that are pretty unremarkable and days that we're not feeling that great. And that's not about you doing something wrong. That is just simply part of the human experience. But so often, we jump right ahead into how to fix that rather than giving ourselves grace and the compassion to feel what we're actually feeling. It's okay to be grumpy. It's okay to be moany. And it really is okay to have days where you feel like you can't be fucked and to half ass everything. I've been at this hole working with and coaching multi passionate and creative women for over a decade now.

And at some point, nearly everybody shares this fear they have that they're actually inherently lazy. And I just wanna call bullshit, and in the nicest possible way, tell you that you're not the exception to this rule. Those of us who worry about being lazy are usually the least lazy people. We also tend to be so fucking hard on ourselves. And maybe what you're reading as lazy is just being pretty bloody exhausted. And for good reason too. So today, while I do hope you find some unexpected joy, I wish you an average day. Give yourself permission to feel what you feel, to not try to optimize everything, and not be the very best version of yourself.

Hindsight is a strange bastard because you'll look back on this moment now and have so much respect and admiration for the courage and the stamina and persistence that you do have even if you can't see it right now. And if you can't imagine that, let's just try and believe that to be true and see if you can tell yourself that you're actually doing a good job right now as you are. So that is today's daily pep. And as always, I love being in your ears every weekday morning. A quick friendly reminder before we end that if developing and working on your creativity or your creative practice, whether you feel blocked or you've never had one, is on your priority list for this year, my new group program, The Rebels Artist's Way, might be right up your street.

The link is in the show notes. It's therebelrousers.com/rebelartistsway. And if you sign up by the end of Thursday using the promo code, capital letters, SASSY10, you get £10 off each of your monthly payments. So if you've been meaning to check that out, this is your friendly reminder. And I would fucking love to have you along for the ride. See you tomorrow.
