1510: Remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint
We’re firmly in the weeds of January, so today’s episode is an important reminder to give yourself credit for what you’re already doing.

Good morning, Daily Peppers, and a very happy Monday to you. So, surprise, surprise, we are still in January, and it is also a Monday. We are firmly in the weeds, and I'm here to remind you that you've already done more than you think you have. As I speak to my wonderful coaching clients and as I look around me to my peers and my loved ones, I'm amazed at how much we're already kicking ass this year. And I don't just mean, like, the tangible things that we're doing, but the fact that we continue to show up. I think we all collectively agreed that last year was a fucker of a year, and. And times that by five for the last five years. And we are tired, we are frustrated, we are overwhelmed, and we are exhausted, but we keep fucking showing up.
Yes, our best will look different on different days, and that is perfectly acceptable. But nothing can quite dim the fire that we have inside us, and I think that's a massive win. So whatever this week has to throw at you, give yourself credit for what you're already doing. No, you might not be exactly where you want to be, but my goodness, you are on the path. You've taken more steps than you think you have. And one of the problems about kind of wading through the weeds is that we can't actually see that we've made some serious progress until we're out of the weeds. So have faith, hang in there, keep doing your thing. Know that your best will fluctuate.
That is normal. And know that if you really aren't feeling January. I think January is a bit of a fake month in the first place. I think it's more of a practice month. So give yourself grace, give yourself some time, and know that this is absolutely a marathon, not a sprint. Happy Monday.
