Today I’m sharing something I’ve been enjoying lately that’s been giving me some joy and a bit of comfort.

Episode transcript:

Good morning Daily Peppers and a very happy Wednesday to you. A friendly reminder before we get started that my workshop, the Halfway Huddle is happening Tomorrow, which is June 18th, and if you want to recalibrate your year and you also want a confidence boost boost, it might just be the two hours that changes the rest of your year. I would love to see you there. And if guided workbooks are more your style, there is the Halfway Huddle Workbook too and you can check them both out by heading over to therebelrousers.com/halfwayhuddle which is all one word or by just looking at the show notes. Now onto today's Hump Day episode.

So me and Mr. Meg have started watching The OC again. We were huge fans round the first time round, although I think we caught it about five years after it had come out and it is just really good to watch a second time round.

And the reason I'm sharing that is because A it can be really hard to get stuck in a rut and sometimes when you're looking at new stuff you just end up disappointed or you end up spending so much more time looking for something than actually finding the thing. And secondly, it can be really nervous system regulating to revisit something you know you already love. Now don't get me wrong, there are definitely times when you do that and it is disappointing or not like you remember it, but there are also times when you remember exactly why you loved it in the first place. It is a nice bit of nostalgia and it's just really comforting. So whether you are feeling stuck in a rut or or you could do with something really soothing, I recommend going back to something that you loved when you were younger. And as a bonus thing, it can also really help remind you of who you are. You can uncover things about yourself, remember things about yourself, and it can be a good way to reconnect with some fun and some joy, which I know we all need. So here's to returning to things that we know we already love.

Here's to not getting lost in the idea that the good things are things that we haven't got yet and we need to go and buy. And here's to doing something fucking fun this hump day. I'll see you back here bright and early tomorrow for the daily pep and maybe even online together for my Halfway Huddle Workshop. Have a good one.
