Episode transcript:

Good morning, Daily Peppers. And a very happy Monday to you. It is so good to be back after the summer break. And I am so glad that it's September. I've had a whole lot of shit going on in my personal life. I've really needed the break. But I'm also feeling ready to embrace the season to get my head down a bit and also to get cozy. So as we enter into a new season, for today's daily pep, I just want to give you a bit of a chance to reflect on what this season looks like for you and what you need from it.

Sometimes it can feel like the period between September December is about just making it to the end of the year. But how can you make this time of the year count for yourself? And I don't just mean about getting shit done, but I mean more about you looking after yourself. It's been a long year for a lot of us. A lot of stuff has come up. So as we enter the new season, I simply invite you to think about what you need and how you can give it to yourself. And also think about what my fabulous friend, Michelle Roar, refers to as the minimum effective dose. We do not have to be perfectionists when it comes to looking after our needs, and rarely do we get the opportunity. But we do have the opportunity to do it imperfectly to give ourselves what we need, especially when we are usually so focused on other people.

So that is my food for thought for you for today. Have a think about what you need from this season and what this season of life looks like for you, what you can put on the back burner, and what really matters. And if you'd like to end these 100 days making significant progress but in a really compassionate way, then I want to do a quick shameless plug for my latest experiment, 100 days of compassionate productivity. It is part online course, part interactive program and part DIY adventure. And it's designed for anyone who's ready to find a new way of doing things with ease, joy and compassion, rather than the bullshit, the burnout and the hustle. And it is designed intentionally and specifically for those of us who really value flexibility and resist structure. We get started tomorrow. It is gonna be so much fun.

And if this has piqued your curiosity, you can find out more by going over to therebelrousers.com/100 days. That is 100 as in the numbers. And you can also find the link in the show notes and I think you're really gonna love it. So here's to a new season. Here's to getting back to it. And here's to knowing that imperfect action still absolutely fucking counts. I'll see you tomorrow.
