Episode transcript:

Good morning, Daily Peppers, and a very happy Wednesday to you. So, at the moment I'm working with a health coach. And it is really, really helpful. And we end up going down different rabbit holes. And one of the things I'm really, really valuing is the ability to dig deep into something that I could try and actually decide that I don't wanna try it. I'm actually finding it really liberating because I think a combination of sunk cost fallacy in terms of you look into something for so long and then you feel like you've got to do it because you spent all that time doing it, and also the ability to say what I really mean. For those of us socialized as women, it can be really hard to take up space. It can be really hard to say what we actually want to say, not what we think other people wanna hear.

And I think generally as humans, we have this idea that once we make our mind up about something, that's it. We can't change our mind. Maybe we feel a bit embarrassed about going back on something. So for today's daily pep, I wanna remind you that it is a okay to change your mind. It's okay to change your mind about ideas, about things, about projects you've started, and also about people too. You don't have to be right all the time, and you won't be right all the time. And there is so much value in looking inwards and really listening even if what you find doesn't make sense on paper. I know for me in my health coaching journey, it has definitely been a lot of going down rabbit holes and finding things that just aren't for me.

It's making me realize that I really want long term sustainable strategies, and that does mean taking the longer way around, but that's okay. And the good eggs that you wanna keep around will be okay with that too. It's okay to admit what you don't know. It's okay to go partway down the path and then turn around. And it's not just okay, but highly recommended to look inwards and see what feels right for you. I don't know what you've got going on in your life right now, but I hope you needed to hear this today. Our lives are precious and you are precious my dear. So have a fabulous hump day and I can't wait to do that with you tomorrow and remember in the meantime that everything changes when you believe you matter. See you tomorrow.
