1533: You don't know what's right around the corner (in a good way!)

We're so used to seeing uncertainty as the big scary monster, but what if it's something delightfully unexpected?

Episode transcript:

Good morning, Daily Peppers, and a very happy Thursday to you. So on The Daily Pep this week, we've been diving into ebbs and flows, and if you are in a bit of an ebb or a bit of a dip right now, this is especially for you. So today I want to pop in and remind you that in a really positive way, you don't know what is right around the corner. Many a time when we think all hope is lost, or we figure that we will just never find a solution, and we don't know how the fuck something is going to work out, something does work out just as we are losing hope. I am always frankly fucking amazed at how things can change for the better in a heartbeat. I know like many of us, I spend a lot of time in my head, and I often convince myself if I haven't thought of that solution, well then it must just not exist. And my goodness, I have been proved wrong so many times. Some of the stickiest, hardest, and messiest situations and problems I've come across Well, how it's worked out, I never ever could have imagined.

I don't mean that in some kind of Hollywood kind of way, but in a kind of, oh shit, I didn't see that coming, or oh yeah, I forgot that might even be an option. And I think that is something that we need to try to hold on to as much as we can during these seasons. Our brain is so good, especially with our built-in negativity bias, at finding all the ways something could go wrong, and we're so used to seeing uncertainty as this big monster, but sometimes uncertainty can work in our favour as well. I know we talked last week on the Daily Pep about how infuriating patience can be, and I still stand by that, but sometimes it is about that patience and also being curious about other outcomes that you might not have even thought of, and being open to things changing in a really good way. So keep holding on. I hope there are fucking fabulous things right around the corner for you. And remember, as always, that everything changes when you believe you matter. I'll see you tomorrow.
