1130: Do your dreams and goals still make sense for you?

Episode transcript:

Good morning, Daily Peppers, and a very happy Monday to you. Now for many of us at any one time, we have a set of goals or dreams that we are chasing. There are things that we want to do and maybe we've wanted to do them for quite a long time and maybe we have quite a few feelings about them as well. Now the thing about goals is that sometimes they sit on our list of things that we want to do for a long time without us really checking in on them. Our goals are set by our past selves. They're aligned with what we wanted in that season of our life. And while they may still absolutely be relevant, maybe some of them need updating or tweaking or simply letting go. So to kick off this week on The Daily Pep, I want you to think about the top couple of things that you really want to do and things that you are working towards in your life and check that they're still aligned with you.

Is this something you really want or is it something that you've got used to wanting? Does it still fit or have you outgrown it? Now this is not my attempt to convince you to change up your goal or to let it go. It is simply an invitation to just have a check-in. Chances are they may still be a really good fit and they may still be really aligned with who you are But on the off chance that one needs tweaking, let's just get a bit intentional because as multi passionates, there are so many things that we want to do during our lifetime. Let's just make sure that they're really aligned with what we want, not what other people want or what we think we should be doing rather than what we want to be doing. So that is my challenge for you as we start a brand new week. Know that if there are some things that you're letting go of or you don't want so much anymore and it feels uncomfortable, that's because it is uncomfortable. Use your curiosity. Know that it's not something you need to let go of or replace right now.

You've got time And remember that your dreams and your goals only have to make sense to you. It's okay if they don't make sense on paper. That probably means that you're getting a real intuitive nudge and other people don't have to agree with you. And while that can be really hard, it can also be okay. You've got this. Have a fabulous start to your Monday. And a quick reminder that doors close to September's round or One More Band Club on Friday. So if you're thinking of joining, I recommend doing it sooner rather than later. And either way, I hope you find some unexpected joy today. See you tomorrow.
