1453: You put magic into the world (even if you can’t name it)
We can fall into the pattern of assuming that everyone else apart from us has their shit together - but they don’t! Today we’re bringing the attention back to ourselves, and our unique gifts.

Good morning Daily Peppers, and a very happy Thursday to you. So this week I have been sharing about my Rebel Archetype quiz. And if you've been meaning to take it but haven't yet, it lives over at therebelrousers.com/quiz. And we've been diving into how sometimes many of us around here feel like a square peg in a round hole. How many times we can struggle with self doubt and finding focus and keeping ourselves motivated, and also the beautiful things that come along for the ride that we maybe don't focus on as much. And I really want to dive into that a bit more today by focusing on your gifts and your strengths and your values. When you uncover whether you're a messy rebel, a gentle rebel, an undercover rebel, or a joyful rebel, you get a really good starting off point at a lot of this stuff. So if you're thinking, Meg, I've got no fucking clue what those are for me, then that is a really good place to start.
And I also want to say that just because you can't name your gifts, your values, your strengths, your superpowers, doesn't mean that you don't have them. For so many of us, it is hard to see our lives and ourselves as humans objectively. And we also have a lot of things that come really naturally to us. But because we've only got experience of being ourselves, we assume that everybody else finds them easy. And that is often not the case. Often your zone of genius can be found in the things that you do that you assume are just something everybody has. And one day you figure out, actually, it might be a real strength that I've got. But whether you can identify your values, your gifts, your strengths or not, this is the most important thing.
They exist. Whether you can name and identify and label them, and you are already bringing them to the world, and you have been for your whole life. You don't get to just spread your magic once you can really explicitly write down what it is. There are things about you and the way you approach life and your combination of experiences, your values, your perspectives on things that are absolutely unique to you and you are doing them, whether or not you've ever thought about this stuff before in your life. Now it can be a real confidence boost to find out what those things are and really dig around this topic. But please know that you are having more of an impact than you think and you are already bringing to the world something really special without even necessarily knowing can be so hard to see our own magic when we are so close to it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. And also, one of the ironic and frustrating things about our own magic is sometimes it's stuff we can really easily do and see for other people, but it can be so hard to apply to our own life. But that does not make you a fraud.
That does not mean you don't know what you're doing. If anything, it shows that you really are a good person to be speaking about that and doing that stuff. I've had to learn that the hard way, and through many journaling sessions and figuring things out, because I've often given myself a hard time about the fact that what I can do so easily for other people I find excruciatingly hard to do myself doesn't take away any of the power. And it's just a case of often we are too close and too emotionally involved in our own stuff. So have a fabulous Thursday and remember that even if you're too close to yourself and you can't quite see it, you have so many skills and gifts and strengths that you are already working your magic with. And trust that they really, really are already there and have been for a long time, even if you can't name them. But if you do want a hand with naming them, the Free Rebel Archetype Quiz is a really helpful tool and I've put the link in the show notes. See you tomorrow.
And remember, as always, that everything changes when you believe you matter.
