Episode transcript:

Hello and a Happy Friday to you. So this week on The Daily Pep has been all about uncovering your own rebel archetype and also leaning into the fact that you have value, strength, strengths and gifts that you've already been putting out into the world. And you do so naturally, whether or not you can recognize or name them. Now, to wrap up this week, I want to share with you two reminders that we all really need to hear, which we don't always tend to hear in the personal development world. That can sometimes have us feeling like we're a problem that needs to be fixed or we need to read these five books before we can even get started on something we're looking forward to. So reminder number one, if something doesn't work for you, it just doesn't work for you. And that's okay. Maybe it wasn't designed for you.

Maybe it could work in a different season of your life, but maybe it's just not that season. And that's okay. There's so much stuff to try. We're going to talk about that in a second. But I think it is so important that we come back to this idea that if something doesn't work, that doesn't mean there's something wrong with us. It doesn't mean that we've personally failed. It just might not be the right fit around here. We tend to be so damn hard on ourselves, and sometimes it doesn't even occur to us that that solution or that thing just isn't right for us because we automatically blame ourselves or find a fault in ourself.

So that was number one. If something doesn't work for you, it might just not be for you. And that's okay. And my second and final reminder for you as we wrap up this week is to use your natural curiosity with yourself around here. We are lifelong learners. We are endlessly curious, and there's so many things we want to learn about. And you can also go down the rabbit hole of yourself and how your brain works about what really suits you, your own patterns, your own rhythms and the wonderful and weird ways that you work. If we each came with a user manual, your name would be on the front of it.

Yes, there may be some contributors, but you are a huge part of that and you get to own it and you also get to have fun with it. So much of the time. Personal development work can feel like work, but I believe it can also be really fun. It can be about reclaiming a sense of play. It can be a great excuse to buy a new notebook, and it can also be good fun just getting to know yourself as you would a friend, as cheesy as that might be. So keep these things around you and about you as you go about your weekend. Thank you so much for being here while I celebrate the release of the Rebel Archetype Quiz. It has been such a joy to share it with you and I hope you found it really helpful.

And I can't wait to be back with you on Sunday in your inbox or Monday in your lovely ear holes to continue sharing regular encouragement and Rebel Rousing for us square pegs and round holes who are fabulous the way we are. I'll see you soon.
