In the Northern Hemisphere we’re approaching the darker months, which can be challenging. So today I’m sharing a fun community challenge to find some silliness in this season.

Episode transcript:

Good morning, Daily Peppers, and a very happy Tuesday to you. Now, in the Northern hemisphere, we are approaching winter and I know not many of us are a huge fan of the short days and the dark nights, and you might even be sick of hearing about it and thinking about it. But today I've got a bit of a fun challenge for you. So I have an email community called Letters of Rebellion. And for this week's email, I sent out an invitation for us to really look for the glimmers and the brightness during this season. Now, this was inspired by a quest that I've just kind of decided to start while we're traveling and getting back to the UK and to find the ugliest Christmas ornament that I possibly can. And I think sometimes we need a really silly challenge and something just a bit fun to enjoy during the season. I know for a lot of us we are highly sensitive and or neurodivergent and Christmas shopping isn't exactly the most fun because the lights are so bright, the music is so loud and.

And some people just turn into absolute arseholes. So my community challenge for this season is to find the ugliest, the naffest, the cheesiest, the most downright bizarre Christmas things that you can find. And I am so excited to put them together in an email roundup just before Christmas to give us all a bit of a giggle, to provide a bit of joy, to share and connect with our own glimmers and. And to also give us a fun challenge and something that we can look for when we're getting sick of the festive shit. So if you want to join, come over to the rebelrousers.com letters where you can join my email community. Please send photos of what you find. This year seems to be a fucking brilliant one when it comes to the most random and just awful Christmas tree decorations. So I can't wait to see what you find.

And here's to some silliness during this season. Create your own challenge. Go off in whatever direction you need to. And if you're looking for some really practical, no bullshit and fun ways to get through the festive fuckery, my digital Advent calendar might just be for you. It's really fun. It's really sassy. There is a delight behind every door as well as a really bad Christmas joke. And it's designed to bring a bit of joy back into December and also give you a bit of time for you, the Advent calendar is £12 to buy and you can get it by going to the rebelrousers.com/rebelchristmas where you can also find out more about what's inside. Here's to silliness. And here's to finding some glimmers and bringing some more light to our own lives. I'll see you tomorrow.
