243: Stop holding yourself to impossible standards
It's so easy to imagine that we're the only ones that haven't got it all figured out. Today, we're flipping that on its head!

Good morning, Daily Peppers, and a very happy Thursday to you. If you need a reminder that you are on the right track and you are doing a great job, you have come to the right place because that is exactly what we're diving into today. Now we kicked off this week on the daily pep talking about progress and how often we're not the best people at being able to realize and acknowledge just how far we've come. Now I think part of that is because we are so hard on ourselves and we hold ourselves to such a high standard, But I think part of that also comes from what we see online, which is that seemingly everybody but us has got their shit together. So today, I just wanna remind you that nobody has got all their shit together no matter how much it may seem otherwise. No matter how much somebody has curated their life and what they show online, there are always parts you don't see. We constantly feel like we have to be firing on all cylinders, but that's just not possible. We face so much pressure to look a certain way, do so much exercise, be a good partner, be a good friend, be a good mum.
Have a beautiful home, have a beautiful body, have a fantastic job that we love. Do things for other people, look after ourselves. I could go on and on and on. And while I know so many of us are doing so much work in so many of those areas and really trying our best, the reality is you're never gonna be able to tick all the boxes in every area because you're not superwoman and because it is not possible. Nobody is doing a great job in all of those areas no matter how much they try to convince you otherwise. There are always gonna be areas that you struggle with, bits that don't get as much attention as you'd like, and that's okay. So let yourself off the hook. You can't do everything.
Nobody can do everything, and that's okay. So stop holding yourself to impossible standards. No matter what you're struggling with, there are many, many, many people struggling with exactly the same things. You are not a failure. You are not doing it wrong. You are simply human and all of us are. Keep going. Keep doing what you're doing.
If there's areas that you want to improve, keep going but know that you're aiming for imperfection, not perfection because it simply doesn't exist. See you tomorrow.
